As God's people, we are called to live by the fear of the Lord. In today's message we will learn what it means to fear God.
Deuteronomy 6:1-2
“These are the commands, the decrees and laws the Lord your God directed me to teach you to observe in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life.”
Isaiah 43:1-3
But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the Lord your God,the Holy One of Israel, your Savior
In order to overcome fear by faith we must embrace, God’s
1. Supremacy
2. Sovereignty
3. Supervision
Isaiah 8:12 "Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. 13 The LORD Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread, 14 and he will be a sanctuary
What does it mean by fearing God?
The fear of God is an attitude of respect, a response of awe and wonder. "It is the only appropriate response to our Creator and Redeemer, the supreme being”

Living by faith = Living by the fear of the Lord
How does the fear of the Lord impact our lives?
1. We become obedient
2. We grow in sanctification
3. We worship WHOLE-HEARTEDLY
4. We live in confidence
5. We will be blessed
