Forever Faithful

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

 

Lamentation 3:22-23 

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Habakkuk 2:4

…but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness

 

Celebrating God's Faithfulness

How is God faithful?

 

1. God is faithful to save us.

Psalms 40:10, “we speak of God’s faithfulness and His saving grace!”

 

2. God is faithful to lead us.

Psalm 43:3 Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.

 

3. God is faithful to fulfill His promise upon us.

Psalm 145:13 The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does

 

God is forever faithful.

His faithfulness is based upon not our performances, not on our responses, but because of His own great love for us.

Romans 3:3 What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness?

Now how do we respond to God’s faithfulness?

Habakkuk 2:4

…but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness.

- We want to be faithful because God is faithful.

 

How can we be faithful?

1. Commitment to faith:

- we need to commit ourselves to faith in Him, His word, His promise.

2. Maturity of faith

- We must grown in our faith

3. Dependence by faith

- We must depend upon GOd's faithfulness.

 

God is forever faithful!
