Historically Jesus' identity has been a mystery. Who is Jesus? In this first message in our series JESUS, we will focus on His identity.
1). Jesus the Savior
Matthew 18:11
"For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost”
John 3:17–18
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
2) Jesus the Teacher
John 14:9-10 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me?
3) Jesus the Lord
Matthew 10:34, ""Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn " 'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law -a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.
4) Jesus the Champion
“The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil” (I John 3:8)
