As we are resting in this Labor Day Weekend, we will learn what our labor means in it's definition, direction and purpose
John 6:27
Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval."
1 Corinthians 15:57-58
57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Our Labor Defined
Gen 2:15
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
Psalm 24:1-2
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; 2 for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.
Our Labor Corrupted
From the Fall, our labor was based upon ownership not stewardship.
Our Labor Redeemed
I Corinthians 15:56-58
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 58:11
Then men will say, “Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth.”
I Corinthians 3:8
The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.
Hebrews 6:10
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
